I have a strong respect for good communication in the workplace. Throughout my experience, I have developed an advanced level of skills within communication among my colleagues. From working as my own freelance company and crafting good communication skills with clients, to working within a team and eventually leading that team with superior communication skills.
When I approach any task that involves creative thinking, I evoke my curiosity. Having a good sense of curiosity allows me to engage with clients, products, and challenges in meaningful ways. Allowing space to ask insightful questions, active listening and engaging more deeply with problems. It allows me to stay fresh in a constantly changing field.

When it came down to career choice for me I was between creative or psychological. I have an ever growing interests in the way people think. My empathy allows me the ability to try to understand the feel and emotions of the customer experience. Understanding the end users allows me to create products that truly engage and delight.

lISTEN
I apply the Listen, Relate, Meet methodology in most of my work. This is a very strong communication approach I learned when working with youth, that can be applied in all conversations.
You Listen to your client/team member, let them explain fully what they are seeking and what their company voice is.
You then connect with them, understanding their perspective and what they are seeking to accomplish with Relate. Allow them to understand that they are heard and their opinions are valued to build a good relationship.
Lastly you Meet them somewhere in the middle that we both would be willing to compromise.
This approach creates a healthy work environment that allows everyone to build a strong relationship and a sense of value in being heard, all while moving forward with respect.
Double Diamond
I have found the best method when creating a successful project is by implementing the double diamond design sprint. From brain storming all solutions that could solve the issue, weeding out what doesn't work, forming the design, testing with users, and reassessing. You can harden down on a well polished design.
